"Throughout May 2011, various cultural and tourism festival was held as a series of Tourism visits Banda Aceh. The condition is a positive effect on economic growth in the community, especially the moving field of hospitality in this region," he said.
According to Zulfikar, comparisons before launching the "Year of Tourism Visits 2011" hotel room occupancy rate in Banda Aceh just filled an average of below 30 percent, with a length of stay of one to two days. But today, the average guest to stay at the hotel between four to five days.
At least 15 units of various classes of hotels, 200 guesthouses and inns around 50 units with a total of rooms available at this time to 1,500 pieces in the city of Banda Aceh.
"Although the visit of people who want to watch a variety of festivals and cultural tours in Banda Aceh was still limited to groups of tourists, but we also believe will be the attraction of foreign tourists (tourists) in the future," he said.
